These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of northtarn.com, the content published by our AI characters and the digital products sold by Northtarn Studio ("Northtarn", "we", "us"). By using our website, content or products, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our characters are fictional and AI-generated

Northtarn Studio creates fictional characters, such as Silas Vale, whose images, voices and videos are made with artificial intelligence. They are not real people, and their stories are fiction. The ideas they share come from public-domain classics and from our own writing. We label our characters as AI on every platform where we publish them.

2. Educational content only: not professional advice

Our videos, posts, emails, workbooks and other products are for general educational and reflective purposes only. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or financial advice and do not replace a qualified professional.

We make no promise of any specific result. Any outcome depends on you and your circumstances.

We want you to be satisfied. If a product is not right for you, email northtarncorp@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase with your order details, and we will issue a full refund. Refunds for subscriptions cover the most recent payment only. Where local consumer law gives you additional rights, those rights apply.

5. License to use our products

When you buy a product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own non-commercial purposes. You may print copies for your own use. You may not resell, share, redistribute, upload publicly or create derivative products from our materials without our written permission.

6. Intellectual property

The Northtarn Studio name and logo, our characters (including their names, appearance and voices), our original texts, frameworks (such as "The Three Gates"), videos and products belong to Northtarn Studio. Quotations from public-domain works remain in the public domain. You may share links to our content and repost our videos using the platforms' native sharing tools with credit.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse our website or content. This includes attempting to break our security, scraping our materials to build competing products, impersonating our characters, or using our characters' likeness or voice to create content presented as ours.

8. Comments and messages

If you send us comments, questions or stories, you allow us to read and reply to them. We will only publish your words, publicly or as a testimonial, with your explicit permission.

9. Third-party links and platforms

Our content appears on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook, and we use third-party checkout and email services. Their own terms and policies govern your use of those services, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Our content and products are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Northtarn Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
